What we process

We process purchaser and learner names, email addresses, course enrolment, lesson progress, assessment results, certificate records, support communications, and technical/security records needed to operate the service. Stripe processes card details and payment credentials; Article4Training does not receive or store full card numbers.

Why we process it

We use this data to provide the course and learner access, manage team enrolments, issue and verify completion records, process payments, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, and meet accounting or legal obligations. The main legal bases are performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service. We do not send marketing emails unless you separately choose to receive them; marketing is not enabled at launch.

Service providers

We use service providers to host the website and database, process payments, and deliver transactional email. Current categories include Hostinger for hosting/database and email infrastructure, and Stripe for payments, invoicing and tax features. Providers may process personal data only as needed to provide their service. Where international processing applies, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where required.

Retention

Course and certificate records are retained for up to three years after the last learner activity so that course access, support and certificate verification can work. Payment and invoice records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law. Security logs are kept only for a proportionate operational period. We may retain limited data longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or where law requires it.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. Contact us at article4training@skilara.eu. You may also complain to Latvia’s Data State Inspectorate. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

Cookies and tracking

The platform uses only the technical storage needed for secure learner sessions and core functionality. It does not currently run advertising or optional analytics tracking. If that changes, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before the tracking is enabled.

Changes

We may update this notice when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.

This is an operational draft prepared for Article4Training. It requires a qualified legal review before a public paid launch.
